About Us

Peace be with you.  My name is Beti Turner, owner of Avalon Green, and I am a Level 2 certified aromatherapist, a licensed massage therapist, and a yoga instructor.  My passion revolves around how to help people achieve harmony within themselves and their surroundings in a holistic mind-body-spirit approach.  I became involved in aromatherapy some thirty years ago because of health issues with self, family, and friends; and, the results were gratifying. And then, when I started my massage therapy practice, aromatherapy was used extensively with my massage clients who responded favorably to the additional holistic discipline.

I sell aromatherapy products that have been formulated for family, friends, and massage clients based on their needs.  Until late 2023, these products had only been available locally, but now everyone has access either locally or online.  Through consultation, I develop specialized aromatherapy synergies.

I believes that plants are the quintessential life force of our very existence.  My goal is to continuously research, pursue, and understand a myriad of disciplines to help as many people as possible.  In his rural community, people knew my maternal great-grandfather as the person to see for health issues. I unknowingly pursued his legacy.  So, the journey continues.

Joyce A Haskins     I’m Joyce A. Haskins from the wonderful state of Kentucky where I feel that I have made an impact in the field of education as an instructor, speech pathologist, and administrator.  I have degrees of higher education from Western Kentucky University, University of Minnesota, and Harvard.  I have had the honor of holding the following positions:  Mary McLeod Behtune School and Hiawatha Elementary School Speech Therapist; High Five Program Coordinator; Lincoln Elementary School Principal in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; Spanish Immersion School Assistant Principal; Hale Elementary Hmong School Assistant Principal; Assistant Commissioner of Education for the State of Minnesota; and Richard Green Fellow at Harvard in the Urban Superintendent Program graduating in 1998; Campbellsville University Education Department Professor; Director of Primary Education for the State of Kentucky; Taylor County Schools Speech Language Pathologist; and of course my Superintendent, Ms. Loneta Sublett, The Ultimate Administrator. Praise GOD for her spiritual, financial and superb Leadership style she used to guide the "Taylor County Schools."  I am an inspiration speaker and author of My Best Friends Over Eighty.  And I have recently started a new journey in my life, which is becoming more familiar with essential oils and other aspects of aromatherapy.

I have lived with multiple sclerosis for the past 26 years and it has definitely impacted and limited me physically.  Fortunately my love for horses and the ability to engage in therapeutic horseback riding enhances my life.  Additionally, through the application of massage therapy and aromatherapy since September 2022, I can now move my legs and arms in a way that were immobile for some time.  Beti of Avalon Green formulated and handcrafted a specific blend of aromatherapy oils for my neuromuscular and musculoskeletal limitations.  This is an exciting time for me, since I now can see mobile improvement.  Praise the Lord!!

I truly believe that God has opened another door for me and that He will continue to do so that I may be an inspiration to others.  And, we can do so through my involvement with Avalon Green.

God is good because I believe that With God All Things Are Possible!  Matthew 19:26
